Hey Hey Hey,
It has been a very long time since I’ve posted anything on this site. I feel I’ve been neglecting my readers. It was not done intentionally and I will get more consistent in my blogs. I do want to say thank you for visiting singlemomsmadeeasy.com again and Happy New Year!
I decided to share my journal entry on today. I don’t know why exactly but felt its worth sharing.
January 3, 2021,
I am so happy and grateful for the new year, 2021,! Yes I brought COVID into the New Year with me but I am grateful that I’m alive, I’m well, considering, and am able to continue to do what God has for me to do. I must admit this was a weird way of bringing in the new year, but I managed to maintain a job, get a promotion, I have the love of family.and 2021, would be a great year no matter how I brought it in. I remember my 2019, it wasn’t the best. I struggled, had a hard time financially. But I made it to 2020, I remember all the rain we had at the beginning of the year and I remember thinking that all this rain has got to be a prelude of what’s to come in 2020. I remember Kobe’s death like I knew him personally. Then there was COVID, George Floyd and every other pointless shooting and police brutality case that has happened since then, and the riots vs peaceful protest. Although I’m sure 2021, will be a continuation of 2020 because there is unfinished business that America MUST attend to, I refuse to allow my 2021, to be only a continuation. Of course, we still have COVID to stress over and our President Elect will probably shut the country down again and I will not blame him, and there will always, unfortunately, be issues of race in the country. So all that comes along with the New Year, but my 2021, will include, happiness, self care, love, peace, a new home, family time, vacations and I’m gonna go ahead and put this in the atmosphere, marriage. So I understand that some things’ comes with the new year but I also know that the new year will be what you make of it.
What will you make of your 2021,? How will you add to it? What are your plans for the new year? I am excited to see what you make of your New Year!
